Vanesa Rodríguez-Galindo

Vanesa Rodríguez-Galindo is a historian of visual and material culture. She holds a PhD in History of Art and an MA in Metropolitan History. Her research interests include art and visual culture in Spain and Latin America, transatlantic material cultures, and urban and women’s studies.  Her book, Madrid on the move: Feeling modern and visually aware in the nineteenth century, examines images and urban identities in nineteenth-century Spain.

She has over ten years of experience in higher education and the arts and culture sector. She is currently a lecturer at the University of Bristol
